How to sell with Music Auction?

How to sell?

Do you want to sell an instrument or an object? Nothing's easier.

1) The estimate

You can write to us at contact@art-richelieu.fr and send us detailed photographs of the object you wish to sell. You can also contact us by phone on +33 (0) 1 42 24 80 76, or go directly to our office, at 51, rue Decamps, 75116 Paris. This estimate is free.

We can also come and see the object (s): to find out the terms, please call +33 (0) 1 42 24 80 76.

2) The sale

If the estimate suits you, we can sell your item, and you can even set a minimum sale price.

We will advise you either an auction or a sale at a fixed price:

- the auction simultaneously puts several potential buyers in competition who compete by outbidding each other.

- the sale at a fixed price, also called a "private sale", directly puts a seller and a buyer in contact through us, in order to agree on the sale of the object at a price previously fixed.

3) Payment

As an intermediary, we receive payment from the buyer, before sending it to you once the commission is deducted.

On the advice of the expert, the owner sets a minimum price. The item cannot be sold below this minimum price.

Then the object is put up for auction. The auctioneer orchestrates the sale and takes the auctions of the various potential buyers who place a bid. May the best win! ... The auctions go up, go up, go up ... Until the auctioneer's hammer falls: it's sold!

How does it work for the seller?

  • The seller wants to sell an object.

  • The expert gives his opinion on the object after a photo examination and / or in the presence of the object.

  • The seller chooses the option of the auction at Music Auction.

  • The seller can then set a minimum sale price, if he wishes: it is therefore guaranteed that his object cannot be sold at a lower price.

  • The seller is welcome to the sale: he can attend by being present or by watching it online.

  • He will receive the maximum price attained at the time the hammer fell, once the commission paid.

Example: Jimi sells his guitar. It is estimated at 1000€. Jimi sets a minimum price of 1000€. The guitar is sold for 2000€ when the auctioneer's hammer falls. Jimi receives  2000€ minus the 15% commission or 1700€.
